The Massapequa Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting more than 850 students receiving special education services and their families throughout the Massapequa School District. These students are an important part of classrooms across our district, reinforcing the value of inclusion, understanding, and a strong school community.

We are committed to working collaboratively with families, educators, and school administrators to support and enhance the quality and availability of special education services for all of our children.

Educate: We provide parents, caregivers, and staff with valuable information through guest speakers, workshops, and resources focused on special education and related topics.

Inform: We connect families with information about the wide range of programs, resources, and services available to children with special needs locally, statewide, and nationally.

Support: We support our students and educators through Teacher Grants that enhance classroom learning and through scholarships for graduating seniors.

Engage: We create inclusive social and recreational opportunities for children with special needs throughout the Massapequa community. Our events—including dances, parties, resource fairs, bike clinics, and other activities—give children and families opportunities to connect, participate, and build lasting relationships.
